Hampshire Travel Clinic will provide you with that essential information about medical precautions to enable your trip to be a safe and healthy one.    There are 8 million trips carried out by business travellers each year. The major difference between business travel and travelling for pleasure is that it is the employers duty to carry out a risk assessment (including health risks) and finance any health interventions required. We can “pre immunise” business travellers so no matter where they go in the world they will be protected, this includes Armed Services, MOD, Border Force etc., who often find themselves being placed somewhere at very short notice.  Travellers with pre existing health problems need individual advice delivered by a trained health professional – failure to do so can lead to unnecessary illness, a spoilt holiday and significant medical costs. If you need to take medicines abroad, remember that some drugs that are legal in the UK could be banned in other countries. Workplace vaccinations can be provided in your workplace. For example you might wish to offer flu vaccinations to all of your employers. At Hampshire Travel Clinic we pride ourselves on putting you first. Ideally appointments should be well in advance of your travel, however we recognise that some travellers are only given short notice of travel. We are set up in a way that enables us to meet the need for urgent appointments – even same day appointments can often be accommodated. The Clinic The clinic is based in Emsworth, two minutes off the A27 and is less than 30 minutes from Southampton, Hedge End, Whitely, Fareham, Portsmouth, Petersfield, Havant, Chichester and Bognor.   On arrival at the clinic you will be asked to complete a short health questionnaire, which will enable you to set out your health status and your travel plans. You will be seen by one of our expert doctors or nurses who will discuss the details and identify any special risk factors. We will discuss your planned activities whilst away and look at risks, considering the most up to date information for the area(s) you are visiting and agree your options for managing these risks.  The TEAM Our doctors and nurses are experts in travel health and provide tailored advice, support and medication for travellers according to their specific circumstances and travel plans.  The Health professional will never insist on a specific course of action, we are there to advise and assist you.  We will then provide you with the medication/vaccinations required.
