I'm giving it 3 stars because of my husband. I got chicken shawarma and I liked it a lot! It was very good. But, my husband got lamb Shawarma (yes he's had it before, and he usually loves it) and he actually only ate about half of it. He threw the rest away, which is something he NEVER does. He said it was too much garlic or onion. Something about the taste was way off for him. But my food was good \u200d️

The chicken kebab plate, Naan and baklava we ordered was delicious, fresh and made fast! We're definitely going again and again!
Hmmm, one of the freshest meals I've had in Virginia. So glad that I decided to make this restaurant my last meal of 2020. I also tried the baklava and lamb shwarma sandwich. With food like this, I know 2021 is going to be better!! The corn chowder with naan bread is my favorite so far.
As soon as we walked inside we were hit with an enticing smell that instantly made us go from peckish to starving. We only ordered to go, but I kinda wished we had stayed. The restaurant has a nice ambience. Really colorful and homey. The gentleman who helped us order had amazing customer service and all around was just really pleasant to talk to. When we brought the food home we couldn't believe how generous the portions were considering how cheap it was. We ordered the hummus and bread. It was obviously freshly baked. Still warm and just so damn good. They were super generous with the humus too. We had plenty left over.
I wish I'd visited long before now. Their bread is amazing, I'll remember to order extra. I picked up a veg plate with hummus, falafel, grape leaves and salad. It was very good though there may have been a tartness to the hummus my wife didn't like. The lamb shwarma platter - onions and lemon - so delicious and lasted me three meals actually. All hand made I enjoyed very much. Finally, baklava was a hit with everyone as I brought extra home to make up for me going out on my own.
I have to give a 1 star rating for this reason; While I was there, there were 2 small children running around the restaurant that belonged to the owners. They were running in and out of the kitchen to the dining area to behind the counter and so forth. It isn't safe to have small children in a commercial kitchen. These children were small, one was still in diapers and the other was perhaps 3 or 4 years old. Then the smaller child was in the kitchen screaming and I heard someone hit the child's face, more crying, then after a minute or two, silence. When the little girl came out of the kitchen the entire right side of her face was red and swollen. Since when is this appropriate business behavior??? You own a business and can't afford childcare and are breaking multiple laws.
Tired of fast food? Try Mr. Kabab for a new taste of real ethnic foods and a healthier diet. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was clean and interesting. One thing, I would have enjoyed some soft Meditteranean style music to enhance the entire experience.
Incredibly good food at a great price.
