This restaurant is a lovely surprise after a day of hiking in the Heide area. Very nice ambience in the garden, good beer selection, and excellent main dishes. I had Heidschnuckenschmorbraten, quality meat was very well prepared and cooked just right. Side dish balanced really well with slightly fried gnocchi, and veggies with a good flavor twist. Only downside is that the source to the meat is a bit less, and it tasted dry on the third chunk. Overall, highly recommend!

A cosy and quaint place to have cafe kuchen. Great selection of homemade cakes - that day we had a plum tart or carrot-chocolate came. Service was excellent, hostess and waitress was very friendly and efficient. A great place to also explore nature and take a walk into the meadow.

We came in after a lovely walk in the surrounding area, and sat at the resto's backyard in the open air, with whiffs of lavender from a pot of flowers on our table. My chocolate cake was absolutely divine, the dark, moist cake shines against the light whipped cream. The others' cakes were good as well, although the berries were too sour for me -- apparently that's the German way, they like their cakes sour. The wonderful smell of food from the next table made us order another plate to share -- this time a simple plate of fried potatoes with sunny side up and salad. But oh how something so modest can taste so good if you cook it right! *rub happy tummy

We'd visited this thoughtfully renovated restaurant for a birthday brunch. WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Lots of delicious food, lots of tasty salads, cheese and what not, supported by a warm and friendly service too BUT don't even think of standing on your bathroom scales for the next two days :) ...
