Nice on the outside, but doesn't quite live up to what you see at first glance. The exterior part of the buildings is made to resemble housing in the Edo period, but there aren't that many dining options as one would have thought from the outside. When we visited they were having a drum show at the area to the back of the building, so it seems they're trying their best to keep the place fun for visitors. Would have rated the place better if they had more variety of shops/restaurants, it just seemed like a lot of dead space.

This is a themed Parking Area showing "Edo era" based on the famous novel called "Onihei Hankacho."
Nice resting area in Edo-style. Looks actually bigger than it really is but they have a great variety on restaurants.
Very clean and visually pleasing parking area made to resemble Edo period stores. They have a lot of seatings. Stopped here after trip to Nikko.
One of the nicer parking (rest) areas on the way to Tokyo. Built in antique Japanese style..
Good place to be, the atmosphere is visually made to look traditional Japan
Very convenient
not much stores but fun!
