Fort is in poor condition, damaged from everywhere. Govt. should show some interest to improve its condition and save this historical monument.
The hill fort having ruins of fortification, bastions, gates and many monuments. This fort is located on bank of river 'Baner Khad'. This was the capital of the princely state of Haripur Guler - an offshoot of Kangra. Legend says, Raja Hari Chand of Kangra became disengaged from his companions on a hunting expedition and fell into a well and could not be traced for 22 days. Later, passing merchants saved him. In his absence his wives became sati and immolated themselves. After this incident, Raja established in his own capital, Haripur, after his name and left his kingdom to his younger brother.
It's in sheer dilapidated condition and need appropriate renewal else heritage will be lost forevee
It is a very nice place but totally destructed due to unwanted tree if you are able to each to the side nearby river bank you see a great view of it .i think it is a three story building having 2 pools two well inside as well as outside and near to this fort . there is a queen palace and also has two or more caves and there is also a wild strawberries at the back of the fort . it is really a very nice place . i think if this is reconstructs or restored it is the best fort nearby.
