Last week the team at Almaz worktops completely changed our kitchen! We had new worktops and splash backs and we could not be happier with the quality of the work and the excellent effort that was made. From our first interaction with them the work was completed two weeks later! Never had a turn around of custom work done that quickly. Alex who is the owner of the company and does the work himself arrived at our house on a Saturday and did not finish till 9pm because our kitchen had a lot of uneven areas from previous bad tradesmen. So Alex did not know that he would have to put in double the amount of work he had anticipated as when all the old worktops and tiles were removed it revealed a lot of uneven areas but Alex just kept working hard until he was satisfied with the result. In my experience most large companies would have seen that more work was needed and either declined the job or asked for more money. This is a young company so initially we had reservations as they don't have many reviews but they are working hard to get them and we have no concerns about recommending them.

We found Almaz through a Facebook advert and had an immediate response to our message. The next day we visited Almaz at their offices/workshop and were walked through all the different stone worktops available. Liva answered all of our questions and we settled on a particular quartz we loved. We then decided on the main aspects of what we wanted including an upstand and higher upstand to meet the window sill and to have a piece of stone as the window sill. Later on we also requested grinding a channel into the underside of the worktop so we could add LED strip lighting later. We kept Liva and Sasha up to date with our kitchen fitting progress and they visited Friday morning to template the units and went through all the aspects with us and then returned exactly a week later to fit the worktop and upstand. Throughout the process from very first contact to fitting we felt totally assured by Liva and Sasha and the quality of the product, customer service and fitting was fantastic - and all at a price far less than we had been quoted by one of the big kitchen firms. Dealing with a small firm like Almaz we got great service, a brilliant product, fantastic fitting and excellent value for money. This was the first quartz worktop we had purchased and were guided expertly through the process from start to finish - we would totally recommend Almaz - they were fantastic at every step.
