Emily is a wonder! The whole process was a joy from start to finish. She's a great drummer with great feel, and she knows how to capture and deliver great quality recordings. She just gets music too, even if I wasn't able to articulate it, she understood exactly what my song needed - a rare thing. To top it all she's a lovely enthusiastic person and I can't wait to work with her again!

Emily is incredibly talented and intuitive as a drummer - she's not just in the pocket, her little touches are delicate and evocative, and really bring out all the elements of a song. In terms of genre she can range from more experimental to electronic to hard rock to folk. She seriously can do it all, and her first takes were all nearly perfect for my EP - it only took one more take to nail it. She added a lot and with her comments and suggestions, taught me things about my own songs. As a businesswoman, she's also very quick and responsive, and works hard to understand and meet your needs, and has great suggestions - all in service of the song. On top of all that, Emily is an INCREDIBLY NICE AND COOL PERSON, a pleasure to work with, supportive, an amazing collaborator and a hell of a nice human being. That last one is saying a lot, it's hard to find someone who is as talented and professional as Emily, while still being the kind of person you'd love to share a pint with. (I know b/c I've looked!) As far as I'm concerned, she's a musical treasure, and I cannot wait to record more songs just so I can work with her again. Thank you, Emily - honored and excited to share music worlds with you.
