I went to Angling Direct today...very pleasant and helpful. I didn't wear a mask as I have breathing difficulty and nobody challenged me. I then popped int my local tackle shop Harlow Angling to see if they could exchange a spreader block on a landing net pole that had split. First no greeting the chap kept his back to me while fiddling around at the displays. When he did turn around he rudely said you can't come in without a mask. I said I was excempt and he said everyone says that. If he had been polite I wouldn't have had a problem but to be called a liar. I went off got the mask and returned to be told they had never sold Spro tackle. I told them that I had bought it as a combination deal with a rubberised net with a Gift Token and the owner just kept saying no you didn't...the second time I was called a liar within the first 5 minutes or so. I would have told them to stick it but had another Gift Token that I needed to use. I checked over their small display and there was nothing I needed there. They had no Circle hooks, Titanium Wire or more than 2 types of Pike float. The assistant said they won't get their predator tackle in until October which is no good if I want to prepare my own traces. I have found them rude there on previous occasions like they couldn't wait for you to leave and even my wife has found them grumpy when I have asked her to pick up maggots for me. Even though I live in Old Harlow once my Gift Card has been redeemed I will never return but will travel further to Johnson Ross or Rib Valley. How this lot are still in business astounds me, I spent 300 in Angling Direct that could have been theirs. So if you want 'service' with a sneer go to Harlow Tackle.

Ordered a top section for my rod as a spare been nearly two weeks and still no response from The store. Purchased a new rod instead elsewhere. Not good enough Harlow .
