Brilliant food . Set menu 15 each including wine and bread. Pork knuckle was so tender. Wine was just super smooth, best I have had for ages.

Just simply a great local bar and restaurant. Nothing fancy but excellent cooking, friendly service and superb value. We were the first in for the evening and everyone thereafter was Spanish; elderly, children, families. Great \local\ atmosphere. Second time we have dined there and still great. Will go back. The extra dish of chillies with the first course were a surprise..and although fierce, apparently not the fiercest on offer! For the two of us - three courses, bottle of vino tinto, bread, bottle of mineral water, chillies and two coffees, for less than 30 euros. Would gladly have paid more.

At first I have to say that the staff and owner here are really friendly folks. Nice, easy atmosphere. Very lively. And our dog was welcome even inside. Thanks for that. Wine and Tapas here are plenty...and all really low priced. Lots of bang for your buck. But the Tapas are more of a simple kind. Mostly bread topped with an ingredient or two. Had one with Chorizo (quality just ok) and a sandwich with spanish Tortilla (very heavy...and quite dry). Nothing that great. The baby squid on the other hand were very good. Fresh, hot and crispy. As they should be. It's a fine place to fill your stomach for little money. But there are so many other Tapas bars around....and many of them better.

As a vegetarian my first impression of Haro was not good. All of the bars and restaurants were either overpriced hotel-restaurants or very typical, so as not to say quaint, Spanish bars with little beyond omelettes. Much of the service left a lot to be desired - one restaurant had no one at the bar, then we were directed out to the terrace where no one came for ten minutes. When another café owner admitted she had no vegetarian option despite being vegetarian herself (!) I started to despair. Si el rincón was a breath of fresh air. Maybe it was my phone but my gps had trouble in Haro, so we took a while to find it, and it looks like another run of the mill place. However inside we were attended by a lovely woman - the first smile we had received in two days - who seemed flexible and open to improvising. Apart from the normal fare, there were garlic mushrooms are a MUST, asparagus which was plain but fresh (nice if you have been hitting the pinchos and tapas hard) and a fried cheese and tomato dish if you haven't, For meat eaters there was a combo for 6.50 which was huge, must represent some of the best value in the area.
