Joan is a fantastic, calming teacher - we loved our classes during the first lockdown as they not only helped us prepare for the birth of our baby but also kept us calm and positive in scary times! The breathing techniques, visualisations and affirmations kept me centred and focussed in the early stages of labour which meant we could stay at home for as long as possible. I was 5cm dilated when we arrived and our baby was born less than 8 hours later. Although the birth didn't go exactly to plan, Joan's teachings meant that the experience was still as positive and magical as possible. I would highly recommend Joan's classes to any expectant parents, you won't regret it!

Joan is absolutely amazing! We attended her class in December as we wanted to feel more confident & prepared for the birth of our first child. The course thought us how to stay calm and relaxed with breathing techniques and affirmations which really helped us develop a positive attitude. We came away realising how in control of our birth story we could be - understanding the process of labour, asking the right questions, and making decisions that felt right for us. Unfortunately I ended up being induced early so didn’t get to spend time at home but found the breathing techniques really helped in the initial stages of labour especially when I was on my own in hospital. The affirmations practiced in the lead up also meant I felt more confident, relaxed and calm on the day and the learnings from the course allowed me to embrace what my body was going through, rather than fear the process. We completed an NCT course before HypnoBirthing but felt we learnt so much more from Joan in comparison. Joan's style of teaching is so relaxed, informative and you can tell she has a wealth of experience. We throughly enjoyed our Thursday evening classes with her and the rest of our group, and would recommend her to anyone! Thanks so much again Joan x

My partner and I did Joan’s hypnobirthing course back in February 2020 (we were lucky to attend course in-person before lockdown!) and we can’t thank Joan enough for what we learnt. It was the most informative course we could have done, and not only learnt techniques to stay calm and relaxed for the birth and the pregnancy, but also learnt what to expect, and what our rights are during the pregnancy and the birth and what questions to ask. We also had lots of fun in our evening sessions, and enjoyed the relaxed vibe Joan created, with the other couples. The birth of our daughter in June, didn’t quite follow the path we initially thought, but we felt so empowered to ask the right questions, and make informed decisions that we just wouldn’t have known without Joan. I had an emergency c-section birth, but still felt in control and confident and look back on the birth with positivity. We also attended an NCT course, after hypnobirthing, but everything we learnt was thanks to Joan. I would definitely recommend to anyone as a must- do when expecting a baby! X

I took Joans Hypnobirthing course quite late in my pregnancy (7 1/2 months) and via zoom classes in Ireland, I worried I had left it too late, that I wouldn’t have enough time to learn the practices or implement them in my labour but it was the complete opposite. Both my partner & I learned so much in such a short amount of time, the classes were extremely informative but also very relaxed and enjoyable. Unfortunately Covid restrictions meant I wasn’t allowed my birthing partner for the first 16 hours while I laboured alone in hospital. Joan had sent us an exercise recording to practise at home for breathing through contractions & the role of your birthing partner. I listened to the breathing recording on repeat for hours while I was alone and can honestly say that the hypnobirthing practices helped me get through an extremely slow intense labour alone. COVID-19 may have robbed me of the labour & birth experience I wanted but hypnobirthing provided me with strength and a calm attitude. 10/10

I took the course quite late in my pregnancy but it was still really worth it. Joan is amazing. I was very anxious and found the course really helped myself and my partner prepare for the birth. We did a two day intensive course and were given lots of support post the course and up to the birth. I'm pleased to say we had an incredible birth and despite being two weeks late, we had a natural water birth. Thank you Joan xxx
