The new centre is very ... cheap. The changing rooms aren't open - apparently because of Covid (surprising, as other gyms' changing rooms are open) - I was told to "speak to Boris" - but it's ok as "There is a disabled toilet you can change in". No classes - not even outdoor ones. People were being turned away from the empty swimming pool. Long queues at lunchtime due to just one person being on the desk. Swipe card reader on the turnstiles not working so everyone has to queue for the one receptionist. Gym floor very sparsely populated, presumably 'social distancing' means few machines. Basically it's very cheap. Perhaps it will improve, but right now I certainly wouldn't recommend it, and wouldn't take any friends there.

have been trying to get in touch regarding a swimming class, however the staff are seemingly unable to pick up the phone.

I bought monthly membership months ago, for classes rather than the gym. I have yet to go to a class as they are always fully booked with a long waiting list. I emailed them about this and they just replied that I should book 7 days in advance at before 8am and that they've heard of people managing to get a booking at 7.45! (they open the bookings 7 days before). They won't let me cancel the membership as they say it is a 12 month minimum so I'm stuck paying for a gym that is too full to go to. If you're interested in classes DONT JOIN!

I only use the badminton courts which are fine although I booked once and the court wasn't ready. However, trying to book by phone is rediculous. The staff are just kids so it's a failure of management in terms of resource. It's a well knownn issue so book online to avoid frustration or use another venue that can be bothered to answer the phone.

Bodycombat and pump freestyle are great classes to get and keep fit. Les Mills Bodycombat on Saturdays is a real killer but the instructors are great and they motivate you along.

The gym itself is fine but the prices are way too high. Almost 5.30 to go and I’m only 16. There’s no point telling me to get a membership I never have enough to pay for such a sum in one go but 5.30 is far too much.

Only gym I've been to so I can say it's the best and the worst. It's fine really with lots of different machines and an area for weightlifting.
