A little town stuck in time. Beautiful place to visit. Cute little shops. Great history lessons.

Not the highest quality wax figures, but the displays are very well done. The history lesson is also very interesting and is something most people likely don't know about American anti-slavery history. Very informative. Harper's Ferry is home to a lot of historical attractions and this is just one of them. 7 for adults, 6 for seniors/veterans. Six floors of displays depicting the life of John Brown and his anti-slavery raid on Harper's Ferry.
The team of ghosthunters in the second season of \Ghosts of Shepherdstown\ visited the \John Brown Wax Museum\ and I have, so to speak, virtually visited the museum. The wax figures and the whole museum looked really creepy. I would recommend a visit in real life!
A good history lesson, and still just as creepy as I remember it being when I was in the fourth grade. My kids (10, 12, & 14) all enjoyed it. The upkeep of the building left much to be desired. There was an strong mildew odor throughout, despite obvious attempts to cover it with air fresheners. Lots of peeling wall paper and floors in need of cleaning or repair.
Really creepy but really cool, and a lot of information
