Love taking the family here. Great for hiking biking swimming great history of deep sacrifice made by John brown and his constituents. Very nice restaurants a little pricey but this place make you feel like it's the 1800's

This place is such a hidden gem. Go check it out. It’s great for all ages ;0). There’s plenty of quirky shops, tasty food, and fun activities in the area. There’s also a lot to appeal to those hiking the Appalachian Trail.

I was NEVER taught about John Brown's story in school; I wish I had been. Considering the significance of his story, I can see why he may have been omitted from most (all?) curriculums. I'm glad that I know now and it's a story that I'm not only thankful for, but will never forget.

A very cool and important historic site in American history. Very well thought out exhibits that give equal representation to both sides of the civil war. Learning the history will give visitors a stepped up appreciation for civil war history and the town itself!
