I could not have had the 100% natural birth that I wanted if it weren’t for Helen. I labored for a total of 30 hours and by the end of it, I was so exhausted that I was ready to give up and go get a C-section. Helen’s encouragement and confidence in me is what got me through it to give it just “one more push.” During contractions, she would pat my head and face with a cold lavender towel (which was amazing when I was in so much pain), and when I was having back labor, her and my husband would squeeze my hips in just the right spots to relieve some of the pain. Whenever something else was happening, Helen knew a solution to help ease the pain. I would 100% recommend her (and will) to family and friends who are pregnant. She was always available via text or call with my questions and still is postpartum when I need anything. Thank you so much, Helen! We love you!

A big shoutout to titi Raquel and Aussie Doula. My birthing experience wouldn’t have been the same if it wasn’t because of this lady. She rocks. She stayed with us way beyond the 19 hours of labor. No matter how tired she was, she never left our side and kept encouraging us, loving us, keeping us calm and didn’t miss a single detail of our health. She not only kept me and Jeff calm throughout the process, but also kept the medical team calm and positive. She made sure that the whole experience was what I wanted and advocated for, even when the pain was strong and I wasn’t able to pay attention, she guided the team in the right direction. I never felt afraid or worrried because I knew she was watching every move and looking out for our best interests. This really helped to us relax and enjoy each other’s love. These team of ladies are just what you need to make your labor experience your own and truly enjoy the process. So grateful to have meet Helen and Raquel before labor, it made my experience so loving and exactly what I want it. I will share my labor story forever.
Since our elder family members couldn’t travel to be with our family after the birth of our second child, my MIL purchased postpartum doula services to help out. I had no idea what to expect and was even worried that there wouldn’t be enough to fill the 4 hour visits we decided upon (my older child was cared for by her nanny, it was me and the baby, I was healthy, right?!). I was 100% wrong. Jenn was amazingly helpful with things that I hadn’t anticipated, being a new mom of 2. Her help really was critical to transitioning to a 2 child household while staying (mostly) sane. When you distribute some of the other stuff, you just get to enjoy your new beautiful baby and in that sense, she was really priceless. Owner Helen matched Jenn to us and is also just the most lovely human. I shout my love of Aussie Doula from the rooftops of google! P.S. Get the massage. Kelly is fabulous, and you deserve it.
Preface: I’m a male and medical professional. I’ve worked with many doctors, nurses and other medical staff. Those mentioned are a necessity. When it comes to Labor and Delivery Helen Herzig is a necessity. She went from consultant to family while maintaining professionalism throughout. You NEED someone to be your guide through a shifting territory. Someone that can be your advocate as well. We had a terrific team but Helen’s knowledge, attentiveness to my wife and care was amazing. She even considered my needs (wasn’t expecting that).I cannot state enough superlatives. I rarely post anything and don’t give false praise. Helen’s is number two, after our physician on our call list for our next pregnancy. I know my wife will post eventually (new mom) but I felt the need to share. Helen—Thank you for everything!
I can't recommend Helen enough! She was beyond supportive throughout the process. She put my mind at ease and answered all my questions with my birth plan. Throughout the birth process she was there to offer support before I even knew I needed it. She also SAVED the day when she talked to the charge nurse and sweet talked them to allow my mother and mother in law in the room with me. Something that meant so much to both of them as they had never experienced a birth other than their own, especially not a grandchild. She made it such a meaningful process and literally gave me strength throughout. Helen was worth every penny and more! \u003c3
