In-store shopping
I visited this store in January 2019 and had a FANTASTIC shopping experience. The shop was very well stock with some great products with great prices. I believe the store was being managed by the Assistant nice lady with blonde hair and two volunteer's one lady blonde hair and one man who was lovely. They ALL really went out of their way to assist me and I really enjoyed my shopping experience. 5 star service. HOWEVER on a recent visit August 2019 it was a different story, VERY disappointing. Who employed the Store manager, lady with dark hair? She is just RUDE and Miserable and in my personal opinion should not be working in any part of the retail sector. Managers should lead by example and have positive attitude NOT a negative one. I also found the store layout was not a nice as my previous visit and although I found several nice items I chose not to make a purchase based purely on the Store Manager. She just gave the impression by the way she talked and her general attitude she did not like or enjoy her job, it just paid her a wage and this was all she wanted. No interest No effort.

During a recent family visit to Harrogate we visited the British Red Cross store in the town centre. Absolutely fantastic store and outstanding customer service. The staff members/volunteer's were very polite and friendly and we found lots of high quality items with great prices. Also loved the quirky A Frame outside was nice to see a more personal touch than other on high street. Would recommend to all to pop in if your in Harrogate not only can you grab some great item you are also supporting a fantastic charity.
I was in Harrogate recently with my family visiting some friends. On the Sunday we decided to pop into town and take a look around the shops. We visited the store on Beulah Street...………….VERY DISAPOINTING. On entering the store there were two ladies by the counter one with longer brown hair and one with short blonde hair. Neither of these ladies acknowledged us upon entering as they both seemed to busy having a personal conversation. Our kids went to look at the book section and the youngest was looking at toys. My wife and I looked around together and noted sections of the store quite untidy and racks low on stock. Then one of our kids came to us and was a little upset. When we asked what was the matter he told us the lady with the dark hair had told him to stop messing with the toys. I was a little surprised as there was another family in with kids and their children were playing up running around the store yet nothing was said to them. My wife found an item and we went to the counter to pay. The lady with the brown hair was at the till and I noticed a smell of alcohol on her which I feel is very inappropriate when working first in a shop with public and second for a main high street Charity. I had a brief chat with the woman asking if there was somewhere nice to have lunch in the town and discovered she was called Caroline (it was on her name badge) I asked how long she had been a volunteer and she informed me in a very abrupt manor that she was the store manager. All I can say is SHAME ON YOU British Red Cross for employing a person who obviously does not give a dam about the customers, the store or the organisation she is working for !!!!!...
Extremely well looked after and organised charity shop with a fantastic selection of women’s clothes in particular. All organised by colour - which when you’re shopping second hand clothes is so much more useful than by item or by price!
