You typically only have to engage a professional to do something that you can't (or maybe don't want to) do yourself. So it's helpful when the professional takes time to explain what underpins his thoughts and influences his opinion. For a reasonable fee, I had the benefit of Richard's many years of experience in the local property market applied to a question of property valuation. Whilst it may not have been the answer I expected, I am confident in his judgment. I would certainly seek out his opinion on similar matters.

Gaynor and Daniel were helpful, quick and efficient at providing a detailed survey and service. When we requested further explanation of the report, they went through the survey in more detail. Would recommend them!
At the end of a tenancy and after checkout, my deposit (held by FSS) was to be returned in full. 18 months later I have not received a penny from FSS. Initially, FSS claimed they were not responsible for holding the deposit. After I challenged that, they eventually admitted that it was their responsibility and moreover that they were required to handle my deposit in line with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS). They have singularly failed to do that. I gave them my bank account details for repayment, which they ignored. And if that wasn't bad enough, after 16 months of silence, FSS have now made a claim that they gave my money to my estranged partner. Who incidentally, paid for nothing during the course of the tenancy and certainly didn't pay the deposit. I have had to resort to the Small Claims Court to get my money back. The survey was organised quickly with the report coming in on time and Daniel Brumfitt who performed the survey being available to answer further queries. Gaynor organised everything and was very helpful in making the process less stressful.
FSS were a breath of fresh air when I moved to them after years with another agency. Professional and interested in my property and what I wanted to get from it.
