We had a gathering at Grass Roots to celebrate my wife's Birthday and it was perfect. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating, everyone commented on how good the food was (we had cream teas and some bubbly), the setting is spacious comfortable and a bit different!!

Have stopped off here twice. Lovely food. Very reasonably priced.
Fabulous food, we stopped en route to a short break with 3 adults and two kids. The food was brilliant as was the service! We stop here every year on our annual holiday and it's great to see the quality remains to such a high standard each time we visit
Really lovely place. The food is great and the coffee is amazing. Perfect place for family, especially there’s a Wild West cowboy theme house for kids. My daughter loves there to bits. Highly recommended to everyone.
Lovely location, interesting shop and dog friendly cafe/restaurant. Lovely flat white coffee and a cheese scone to feed two. Loved it.
A run down place whose plans to refurbish the place are taking years to complete. Who on earth thought that putting cafe tables in the greenhouses was a good idea? The cake offering came down to four types of cake and the two I tasted were delicious. Overall impression was building site poorly managed with occasional good surprises.
Tough to call it a garden centre. But food looked nice
This is still work in progress ( or I would hope so!) Not a completely finished venue but no indication of what is being done or what their intentions are. Had the American style pancakes but was a little disappointed as was expecting something light and fluffy and these were very stodgy. Good hot chocolate and great staff who were all very friendly. Children loved World of Their Own, a wild west themed play area. Wouldn't recommend heading there for anything for the garden as the plant area looks very ramshackled, again probably work in progress but doesn't encourage you to put your hand in your pocket.
