This is a working quarry run and owned by Hanson's. They are doing an amazing job of working the site and looking after the local area. There is a view area called Coldstones cut, from which to watch the whole palace in action and also gives stunning views of this whole area of Yorkshire. This also explains why you will run in to large lorries on these small back roads. So please drive with care
