Going into the store is like like taking a trip into a time machine and going back into the Victorian times and to be honest that is one of my biggest wishes that I could visit the olden days to see their ways of life. This store serves some great stock and also has a great ice cream shop on the side. The staff are very friendly and the prices are reasonable. I’d definitely recommend that if you are in he local area you pop in and give it a look as it’s something you see less and less nowadays other than in old market towns.

Love visiting Ripley mostly to buy ice cream. We had the soft scoop ice cream with both vanilla and blackberry flavour. Even in the hot sun not a drop got away. only 4 stars as 3 ice creams cost me just short of 10 ( 1xmedium, 2 x small) when asked if I wanted two flavours mixed wasn’t made clear it would cost a lot more. Nice treat though.
Girl serving ice cream had no idea whether it was gluten free. Made no attempt to find out. Not impressed with the service at all.
You must try this place if passing by or having a day out in the village. Glorious ice cream, quaint setting!
