Took the Mini for its first service. In a nutshell, the service received was perfect. The covid measures in place are reassuringly thorough, but still with friendly service and a smile, which many establishments have forgotten about recently. There was a choice of courtesy cars which is a first. My car was handed back on time and beautifully cleaned inside and out. Thank You Stratstone!

No curtesy car as booked, charged more for mot than originally quoted, 19.99 as it was the cars first and had a end of warranty check, though I didn't get to know if anything was noticed. Car passed Mot so presumably all OK

I purchased a (65) plate Kia Sorento from the Harrogate branch. Buying remotely due to restrictions had me concerned to say the least. I was reassured by the sales manager that Stratstone Harrogate were my eyes and ears during this transaction. A 2 minute video of the car showed a few stone chips (to be expected) which were addressed. What they hidden from the video was a damaged roof liner, a very unhygienic cabin (scary I know in this climate), a 20cm scratch that had gone down to the metal work and to top it off I found out that the car had missed a servicing which invalidated the remaining warranty. When I raised my concerns with the 'salesman' he became very confrontational, insisting I would have to pay to have the car removed. After the vehicle left, I had to wait 4 days for my funds to be returned as the individual hadn't passed the details to the accounts team (who resolved the issue within hours of receiving). Scary these are asscotiated to Evans Halshaw, who are great!

MOT booking personnel rude and uninformed. I received an email today saying that the MOT on my car was due so I rang and queried this because the MINI was first registered in March 2015. The woman on the phone said the car was serviced last September by Stratstone MINI Harrogate. I queried this but was firmly told it was correct. It turns out this was a falsehood (lie or misleading whatever you'd like to call it). When I just phoned my local garage they immediately said that there had been a Government 6-month deferral scheme on MOTs because of Covid 19. Why don't Stratstone know this? And they did NOT carry out a service last September.
