Captain's is an Excellent Fish shop well run, friendly & reasonably priced. Not sure I would rate them as award winning based upon my experience, but certainly very good. Nice touch giving everyone a taster chip bag while you wait (if only the chips they served me for my meal were as good)

Best fish & chips in the area by far. Always get served with a smile and great banter. Cod is excellent, piping hot and perfectly cooked flaky fish with crispy batter. Generous portion sizes and never a disappointment. The place is always busy which is a testament to the quality!

Fantastic customer service from friendly staff! Good value for money and decent portions. My meal was lovely and the chips in particular were yummy!!! I was given some free chips to keep me warm while I waited which was a nice touch and they definitely wet my appetite!
