We ordered an office container in October. We had to cancel as they suddenly asked for insurance that was never previously mentioned or asked by any other hire company. We were told we will get a refund. Still waiting for the refund over two months later. Do not use this company!

First, PAL regularly fails to empty toilets. Then, operative where you sub-hire then from cant really find sites, don't speak much English, therefore, cannot cooperate. It happened so many times... For example, toilet has not been emptied for 3 weeks!!! Then off-hired. Then taken out in another 2 weeks after we have left he site. So toilet was waiting for them sitting outside with 200mm curb to lift it over. Toilet is heavy because never emptied (remember, 3 weeks), driver calls says he is scared to lift it over the curb as it is not empty. Leaves. We have a charge of wasted journey. Same again next time. Toilet is on site, skip is blocking the way. STILL not empty for few weeks maybe! Same guy cannot find the way in even that there is a clear pedestrian path on site and calls me in 5th time over few months to say that the site is closed. God... yes, skip gates are closed!! Ok, then he's finally in. Our guys explain that he need to give us 5 min to lift the toilet and carry it outside for him. He takes pictures and leaves. We get wasted journey penalty. Clearly, that's a company policy, but now they'll exercise it with someone else, not us anymore...
Company was terrible from the start. Plant didn't turn up when it was supposed too so 3 guys were waiting all day on site, cost me 3 days labour. Refund was then held for weeks and weeks. A digger was off hired within the week, but they charged me an additional extra week when It wasn't used and had been off hired. They took the payment out of the deposit so I couldn't do anything about it. Then sent me an invoice 3 months later for fuel. I used the company twice and had a terrible experience, from their disorganisation to their policy, will never use again.
Watch out for these guys. WE got stitched up big time. We ordered and paid for barriers for our show and a week before the show they called and said we need to pay for insurance ? never mentioned this before . We had to pay of course . then we called them on the day before to make sure they were coming at the agreed time, they then said oh no we cant come at 7 we can only be there for 730-8 if you want us to come at 7 we have to pay another 60 ? WHATTTT .. Don't get caught by these guys like we did!!!
Hello,I was Using this company from last a year but had really bad experience.first of all whenever I got portable toilet from this company it was never cleaned at time and at every off hire period they never took it even after 7 days notice.then they try every single time to charge something extra even after telling them that we will not be on site after 7 days to take it on time still they didn't take it and came after when nobody was on site and charging extra money.and last time it was worst experience, I hired a digger from them and some lifts and made 600 pound deposit but after a week when I returned those items in same condition and asked for my deposit back but after around 3 months dispute they said after 3 months that there was some damage to our material which cost us around 490 pound without notify me in those 3 months about it and kept my money so guys don't get caught by them like me.they are just money grabber
PAL Hire were fantastic - they came through for us when other companies failed. The team were helpful, efficient and knew exactly what we needed. I would recommend them without hesitation
Expensive,not ever on time ,unexpected charges,never get back their email when get any issues,they make dispute for many extra payment and then threaten to pay that,stay safe guys find a good company to hire anything for your money
We have been using PAL Hire regularly for about 18 months now, they have always delivered their skips on time and have collected promptly when instructed. I would recommend.
