We recently been to Posto. I am big fan to simple Bengali food, though attempt is good... would prefer typical recipes than offering a lot of options. It dilutes the unique of the place.

Absolutely delicious authentic Bengali food (coming from a Bengali guy). Closest to the taste I could relate back from Kolkata. Still some areas to improve taste wise in some dishes but much better than any typical Indian/ Bengali restaurant. Highly recommended for those seeking to try authentic Indian food from the Bengal region.

I ordered a delivery and the food was authentic Kolkata Bengali food and not diluted or curated or moderated for other palates. Bengalis are foodies. The Indian fish dishes, vegetarian Bengali dishes and lamb were as if they were prepared in a Calcutta kitchen. It lacks glitz but dominates on food quality and authenticity. Great value for money. Like other Bengali restaurants in India the emphasis is on food rather than alcoholic drinks I think. If you want to sample authenticity this restaurant is a Must Visit. The staff are also happy to do variations on spiciness, oil and salt content etc within reason.

Extremely high standard of cuisine, coupled with great cozy and warm restaurant atmosphere. Very courteous and professional staff. Enjoyed thoroughly. We visited Posto on Ashthami for lunch and were not disappointed! The hosts were attentive and the menu is authentically Bengali - all preparations were as they should be (and not a diluted British-Asian version). A must visit for anyone who is a Bengali or loves Bengali cuisine. Will be visiting again !
