Hartbeespoort Cable Way is a place where you go to be adventurous! So, fundamentally, it's a place where you buy tickets at the base to take a cable ride up the mountain where you have beautiful views that can see as far as Pretoria (Telkom Tower), Johannesburg skyline (Sandton) and Brits to the other side. There is also of course views of the dam itself and the greater Hartbeespoort area. To be honest, it is a little bit pricey to take a ride, but there are specials: children and pensioners pay less and there is of course also a free ride if you are celebrating your birthday. Taking the facilities into consideration, it is very neat and well managed, so you pay for what you receive: good service. At the top of the mountain there are restaurants, children's play areas and bars. This is a nice place for you, family and friends. There are also curio shops and other facilities such as a hall if you want to host a conference. Be sure to check it out!

Hidden gem... this place must have been bustling preCovid. Beautiful experience, a “lite” version compared to Cape Town. Take the cable up and enjoy the nature and the view of Hartees. The restaurant was really really good, it’s worth the wait. After a short walk around, there is a kiddies area, jumping castle and jungle gym. The pizza restaurant is there. Very well thought of, well laid out. Service is great. To all those covid-panic stricken people that have it negative reviews, shame on you. Stay at home and stop screwing up businesses like these. This is a small haven for when you’re unable to travel.

FANTASTIC... Experience. Friendly staff. My Wife even got a free Cable ride on her Birthday. Restaurant On top of the Moantain has Gr8 food, Friendly staff and spectacular views.

Definitely worth the long lines. I thought I'd wait an hour before getting on but the lines move quite quickly. On top are a number of restaurants. Enjoyed the 'did you know?' stone writings along the path on top.

Really an enjoyable day out, we were very well accommodated. Great views, and everything seems very well maintained. Only slight complaint I have is the cost as it is a bit on the expensive side for both the ride and anything you buy at the top. If you're not on a budget, highly recommend if you're in the hartbeespoort area looking for something to do.

Amazing views. Go on a cable car and then enjoy the scenery while having a drink and pizza. The food is wonderful. There is also a restaurant available. The lines are long but worth every second. Also lively music to enjoy by the pizza shack.

Breath taking beauty, South Africa at its very best. Enjoy. Great day traveling up the mountain and spend some time at one of the restaurants or bar on top. Lots to do for the kids there is even a at area / park.
