This store offers a good range of stationary and the usual extras, like cards and calendars. Worthy of note is the range of books for sale. The paperbacks available will delight avid bookworms, at least of the buying as opposed to borrowing variety. The books are maintained in order of popularity, based on various lists, such as New York Times Best Sellers for example. This store should get plenty of passing trade as it houses the Post Office at the rear, or deepest part, of the store. I found the PO staff here and the front shop staff very helpful. OK, so why only 4 and not 5 stars? I must confess that price is a factor. I noticed that several items I had seen in other stores locally were substantially more expensive here. This is not uncommon in storez like this of course.

Can't fault the store itself but the post office staff are a bit useless with regards to passport checking. We applied for a passport for my daughter and had to provide my birth certificate my mum's birth certificate marriage certificate etc. So coming to do my sons this year and we were told that we didn't need it we said oh we do they basically told us we were wrong but politely guess what it's been returned to us

Shame post-office was relocated. An amazing idea it's now in EH Smiths. Browsing around my local store I saw lots of brilliant promotions. Got lots of things in store saved me a walking around the shopping centre.

My mother attended this shop yesterday to use the Post Office. When she asked a member of staff where the post box was she was told 'see that big red box over there, that's it' in a sarcastic voice. I suggest this member of staff attends some customer service training and I hope when she is 81 someone treats her with the same lack of respect and compassion! Will not be using this store again.

Staff never smile, don't say hello or good morning some are inpolite thier customer/people skills are the worse. They never open on time I've waited upto 15 minutes after the shop is meant to open. The carpet looks like its been there since WHSmith was created in 1828 the shelfs are cluttered and the whole layout is out dated. The way I was spoken to by one member of the staff was the worse I've ever encounted in any store. I HAD to give 1 star but I didnt want to.

Needed some highlighter pens. Tried a couple of places without success. New Wilkinson's would have them but didn't want to go there. Saw this shop , bought highlighters 4 for 3.95. Had to go to Wilkinson's. Sure enough 4 for 1!!!! Mugged

Its a typical WH Smith but good range of books, stationery etc for a smaller branch. Main Post Office inside also.

I was with a friend who was looking for a particular book. The assistant was very helpful and found the book very quickly. The shop is tidy and well stocked.
