A beautiful place for lunch and a well deserved rest after a long ride on my motorbike. A great lunch menu from light snacks to full main meals, and they serve a traditional Sunday lunch from 12 noon to 4pm. Well worth seeking out with great views out front across the village green.

The young, short, overweight barmaid clearly needs to learn how to talk to people. Rude beyond belief. Will never drink in this pub again. Completely understand the importance of wearing a mask. But to try and humiliate someone when they are literally about to be sat at the table with a drink in front of them? If walking around the pub, ordering at the bar, or anything like this then there is no problem with wearing a mask. But when a paying customer who’s literally just trying to take a sip of their drink to be spoken to in such a way? Awful. Saw plenty of other guests walking around without masks and not being spoken to in such a way. Maybe it’s because I’m a younger man of colour that she felt she had the right to talk down to me and be overly pedantic even.. though I was perfectly willing to follow the rules. Disgusting. Avoid

Having read through some of the other reviews, I think they must have gone to another pub! We had an amazing meal and the bar staff (Yes one of them was blonde) were polite and attentive. Our order was taken quickly for drinks and we were given time to choose our meals. In this difficult time of trading for our pubs, we should be supporting them. So many have closed before and during this pandemic we are lucky this village pub is still open.

Stopped in here for lunch on a walk from Haslemere. Sadly it was an extremely disappointing experience despite the pleasant exterior. I appreciate that Covid has made running a hospitality business more challenging, however the proprietors of this pub seem to have jumped on it as an excuse to dispense with all pretence at common courtesy. In the end, after waiting in vain for 25 minutes for the waitress to come take our order (as she meandered around us serving no one), we gave up and went to the supermarket for refreshment instead. When you are so close to significantly better food and service in Haslemere down the road, I don’t know why you would stop in here unless desperate. Avoid.
