Nice food. 40s themed tea rooms. Good cream teas. Good sized portions, nice staff and not too expensive.

New 30s style tea room and restaurant trading under the new name of the Nutmeg Tree. We stopped in for breakfast which was delicious and so was the coffee. A visit is highly recommended.

Lovely friendly staff who were rather run off their feet due to the sun making a surprise appearance. Clearly a popular little place, the cakes looked amazing ( wish we were not trying to eat sensibly ). Will definitely visit again x 2nd visit rather disapdisappointing. Coronation chicken with absolutely no chicken in it. Not cheap so wont do that again Shame, we liked it here.

After a cycle ride (you can store your bike around the back) we had a delicious breakfast. Excellent food and service, great location. Will return. Thanks

A recent makeover has significantly improved the place Staff in period tearoom costumes greet you and choice of inside of outside terrace garden eating Quality much improved Only slight negative in spring summer there can be a problem with amount of flys that get attracted by the wonderful bakery and food smells Apparently local chicken farms are seen as the reason for the amount of flys in the area However still well worth a visit I alternate between this place and the tearoom opposite both are good

It seems it has ceased trading. We went last Sunday to find it gutted. The worker there says it has been sold and will open later under new management.
