Quite a tricky main path up through the trees when wet as it gets very churned up and is a bridle way. Although its a lovely walk, its not a very big walk. Sheep up on the tops of the hill and some of the fencing is down currently so be aware if you have dogs. Very popular walk but this means a lot of cars park on the grass verges on the single track road so makes it difficult to navigate the road if on foot. A lot of steep hills so not for buggies or anyone that struggles with a lot of hills

Brilliant walk from Pyecombe (free, but limited, parking on the roads in the village) up to the top of Wolstonbury Hill. A mainly gentle chalky slope from Pyecombe, through a narrow wooded area and then across some open fields (with cattle grazing), nearer to the top. Suitable for most people with appropriate footwear - we took our 3, 6 and 7 year olds up. Great views from the top on to the surrounding countryside.

Took the kids here on a recommendation. Great little wood with a few rope swings to find to interest the kids. Some interesting little paths through the woods. You can walk up onto the hill (steep) for amazing views inland and over Brighton. Park on the road in a small layby area. Room for a few cars.
