The DBT ward has grown on me. We have more regular staff now who are absolutely lovely and the staff try to do the best for us even though they are snowed down under paperwork. The agency staff we get for extra observations are becoming more regular and this means they know us and how the ward works. We are privileged to have kitchen access and we work our way up certain levels to gain leave which is positive reinforcement. This unit does work but you do need a settling in period and I believe you should have the choice to leave at 9 months if you are ready. Christmas is coming up and the team are bending over backwards to get as many of us as possible home for it.

This is the best Hospital I've ever been in. The care is magnificent. All you have to do is engage with the wonderful staff and you will get so much out of this place.

Was there for 6 months on 1:1 some of the staff absolutely wonderful others was absolutely awful. Hated the place. Nothing to do there no therapy no help. Was very poorly and wouldn't send me to hospital.

Woow! This Hospital AKA Prison is the worst I've ever been to! If i could rate it 0 i would. The staff hang up on you, didn't tell any of my family that we need ID when coming to visit, the phones hardly work so how the hell are we able to stay in touch with our relatives with no verbal communication. We had to involve the care quality commission and write letters to get our relative out!. The extreme lengths of how bad this awful place is, I can't divulge as I don't want them to discover who it really is incase my family relative ever ends up back!. They are far from empathetic and it's a shame on the very small few that do care. After seeing that this same Hospital was on dispatches, makes me even more concerned & angry for the current patient's still there. Even the death rate is bad. For anyone who is reading this or have any relatives there, I would urge you to do EVERYTHING in your power to get them out as soon as possible, this CARELSSS dump is absolutely appalling!!!
