Great lunch. Food was excellent we had a roast dinner and an omelette, salad and chips from the all day breakfast menu. Both were good sized portions and very tasty. Also good coffee and excellent service. We will be back. Really liked the theme too.

Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea. Delicious scones and they don't scrimp on the cream and jam - very important! Always great service and value for money, hence it's always so busy. Looking forward to visiting again in the near future. ️

Long established tea room in Ditchling that was renamed The Nutmeg Tree in 2017 when new owners took over, it now has smartly dressed staff in a Victorian style uniforms. Popular with cyclists as around the back is cycle racks to lock your bike to. A varied selection of food and drinks on offer and at busy times you may have to wait to be seated due to the current Covid 19 advice.

Five of us recently enjoyed an excellent breakfast here. The menu was very comprehensive. Something for everyone. Very clean and well laid out. The staff were friendly and the service very efficient. Would definitely recommend a visit

Lovely lunch, great service. Staff helpful and implementing Covid procedures effectively. It is a small entrance into the cafe with social distance markers on the floor. There was a group waiting to be seated in the entrance area so we waited outside until they were seated. A certain degree of common sense from the customer has to be implemented (unfortunately this seems lacking in certain members of the general public) with regards to Covid procedures. May I suggest that if there is a group waiting to be seated inside, wait outside until they have been seated rather than entering the small entrance space and consequently complaining on your review that 'got your arm knocked' . It's a small business which has implemented Covid procedures to the best of its capabilities and some members of the public have to take responsibility for their own actions and senseless choices. Lovely outside garden with tables sensibly spaced, tables inside have plastic dividers protecting customers. May be beneficial to take the bill/collect payment from the tables to reduce the flow of customers in the entrance area but felt completely safe and I have no complaints.
