This shop is awesome. Loads of signed exclusives, and Simon is super helpful if you have questions about orders. Postage is also free and quick, which is a bonus.

Emailed asking for 4 books on Monday. Got back to me the same day. Booked arrived on Thursday with free delivery to London. Couldn't ask for more!

Ordered books to be delivered, quick delivery, and nice people. Better than big chains!

Super community bookshop just off the high road. Run by knowledgeable, committed people, this is a great place to buy books. There's usually something fun going on, and the mix of new and second-hand is handy too. They even run a scheme that helps fund books for local schools.

I miss this shop so much now I've moved away. Simon and Tim are wonderful, the selection of books is great and they make great recommendations. They order anything they don't have in, and it's usually there within 36 hours. They have brilliant, imaginative events on. Definitely worth a visit. Much more fun than online shopping.

Goes beyond a bookshop with an eclectic stock, supporting literacy through readings, a vibrant writing group - which I attend -, and book groups. Always happy to order anything. Small second hand section. Cat. funny twitter feed

A great wee book shop. I can't believe it's taken me so long to find it! It's quiet with helpful staff. The kid's selection is pretty good too as is it's young adult section. A couple of comfy chairs to browse on too.

Edit: sadly the shop has closed, but at least it has moved online. The shop seems small, but has a very wide selection of books, many of which you may well have never come across before. So the shop actually turns out to be just the right size!
