Arrived for appointment at 0915. Still waiting at 1045. The doctor hasn't turned up and no one knows where he/she is. All this after attempting to make an appointment at Essenden Road Surgery only to be told it has closed. Absolutely no notice or warning and 4 of us were patients there. No letter received informing us and no signs up when we recently visited. Absolutely disgusting. Would allocate 0 stars if possible. I feel sorry for the admin and office staff there that try their best.

Absolute JOKE of a doctors surgery. If I could rate it a zero I would. The amount of stress it causes is beyond belief. They say phone at 8am, we'll you could call 50-150 times from 8am till about 8:45 and the line is engaged. When the line finally rings there's no appointments left for the whole entire day! That's even if you get through. If you don't get through it just rings and rings and rings. Something needs to be done about this as there is a whole room of people out the back meant to be answering the phones but not one of them are. What is going on??? You could even call the Cornwallis surgery number which is linked with the plaza and you get the same nonsense. ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A SURGERY.

If it was bad during Doctor Mir's time, it's worse now. You cannot get through most of the time by phone. You never see the same doctor twice either. Dr Bennett, who ran the surgery at the old building bless her, must be spinning in her grave. Tried to phone at 8am precisely and constantly engaged,or just rang off the hook and went dead, when I DID eventually get through was told they only have ONE doctor and it's emergencies only. Best avoided. More recently, as they won't answer the phone, I finished up in hospital after my wife called 111. She had no choice. All I needed to start with was amoxcillin for a chest infection. Ended up ill all over Xmas and still not over it.

It would be nice if I could phone my Doctor without being told the number doesn't exist

Really great service with amazing staff. Daily they manage to do their best for some very difficult patients. Sadly many think they are special and that by stamping their feet other people can fix their impatience, mis-understanding or poor attitude. Equally they don't understand that you can't answers the phone with ten people queing in front of you.

After calling 208 times with no answer trying for well over an hour. Seriously considering switching surgeries to be honest once you can get an appointment doctors and nurses are thorough but getting an answer is an issue it's almost like the phones had been diverted or forwarded

So glad that it wasn't my child I was ringing to make an appointment for because me and my partner rang 186 times from 8am-8:45 to only get the busy tone apart from 8 times where we had no answer! To then finally get through and told that there is no appointments but they can look up the symptoms online.
