Well I got a text on my way to the train. While at the station I received 2 more text about delays. We finally left the station 2 hrs. late. On my way home we were to leave at 7:10. We arrived at the train station at 6:00 p.m. I never received any text about the delay until 11:30 p.m. while at the station we were delayed until 2:30 a.m. We finally made it home at 8:45 a.m. that morning. What an exhausting trip. That was my first train trip and possibly my last.

No reason it exists, does not open it's doors until just before the train arrives. This really sucks in the winter time. Not sure what the deal is, it used to be open 2 hours prior. The station staff changed and I think they are just too lazy to open it for customers

No attendant at station to answer questions or purchase tickets. No cameras in the parking for protecting your vehicle in an area with drunks running all around as well as the minimum security prison less than 100 yards away. The only time available is 1:47 am, train is delayed an hour so now whoever is taking the train will be there when the herd of drunks fall out of the bars. We should model ourselves after the efficiency of the Japanese. Amtrak is like the only Ford I bought, never again no matter what the cost saving are. Didn't even give me a veterans discount you have to call a seperate number. Ridiculous. Full moon tonight now I worry about their TPM (total preventive maintenance) program. Wish me luck.
