Very rude member of staff. We was greeted nicely as we entered from the torrential downpour outside. Whilst trying to get our masks out a member of staff started shouting at us to put our masks on which we was in the middle of doing. Rather than leaving it at that he continued to be rude and abusive to the point my partner felt very uncomfortable and we had to leave before even being able to sit down. Never have I experienced such unnecessary verbal abuse. I can absolutely see why they was the only restaurant that had seating available. Would advise people to forward plan when visiting Hastings and book a table as to avoid this place.

THIS IS CASH ONLY. Most excellent place to eat, small but cosy, good food, actual cod, not greyish stuff other places are serving. Staff adjust menu to requirements and give advice on allergies. Just ask. Well worth a visit, we will be going back again soon. Try cod, chips, mushy peas with side salad. Very good value for money.

Ordered 2 fish and 1 large chips and a savaloy for 2 people. Got home and the chips were so lovely!! Big portion and really tasty. Fish batter was very soggy so had to peel off batter but fish itself was nice. Overall I’d say 4/5. 4 as the fish was soggy and the savaloy was half the size of what it normally is. But great portion of chips
