Stopped off on our way back to Kent and what a delight! Amazing menu, prices and quality. We had the eggs Benedict and an omelette which were incredible. The Hulk and Poncho smoothie were also amazing. Service was excellent and very friendly. Thoroughly recommend to anyone and everyone!

This is a perfect little treasure of a cafe: super-friendly staff, delicious food cooked with love and skill, funky unique hand-crafted decor (Hungarian steampunk don’t you know!) and the best COVID-safe precautions I’ve seen. Highly recommended!

The Cookhouse Cafe is AMAZING!! Food was delightful. Very tasty. We had the English breakfast the Langos and a chocolate milkshake!! All of it was wonderful. The guy working in there was so friendly, welcoming and polite! Definitely recommend and will be going back in the near future ! Thank you!

The cookhouse cafe is a truly welcoming and cozy family-run cafe, with wonderful service, delicious food and a unique decor. Their Covid-19 safety concept is beyond anything I have yet to observe: you will be provided hand-sanitizer, all tables, surfaces and chairs are thoroughly cleaned in-between *each* customer, and social distancing is actually maintained between different tables. Csaba will greet you and immediately make you feel welcome as well as offer personal recommendations. Once seated you can admire the handcrafted art on the walls (made by the owners) which reflects their family history and Hungarian heritage. It's a truly unique place to sip your tea, enjoy an English breakfast and also the Hungarian specialty bread Lángos which is a MUST try if you come down. I advise anyone who is planning a visit to book ahead to secure a place!

Extremely clean, possibly the cleanest cafe I have ever been in! Excellent Covid safe measures in place too. Very nice service, great coffee and a well cooked breakfast. Thank you
