Very impressive to see an authentic United States Army M4 Sherman tank parked along the Maas river in Belgium, close to the French-Belgian border. This tank is a memorial for those fallen in the second world war during one of the Ardennes offensives. Anyone interested in war history should make a short stop here to pay respect, take a photo and it is just a nice place have a break from travelling!

This Sherman Firefly, named Battling Annie ( Now named Dolly) stands on the banks of the Meuse near Hermeton-Sur-Meuse. A few years back there was a Sherman Jumbo on this spot, but that Jumbo was moved to the Brussel Military Museum. Now we have a new tank on this spot, a Sherman Firefly. At first glance it looks like a standard M4 with a 75mm cannon, but the left side of the tank shows a huge impact and the surrounding damage of the impact is not seen on the turret like it is on the rest of the hull. The original turret must have been blown of the body and was later replaced with this turret. This tank was just restored a year ago.

Vieux tank de la seconde guerre mondiale, vous pourrez même vous y glisser dedans pour les plus téméraires, manheuresement l'intérieur est vide !
