I stay here every time I'm in town because normally I have a good experience. However, the hotel says it's non smoking. Normally you get a hint of cigarette smell in the hallways, but not to the point it's overwhelming. This time my non smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke, so much so that all of my things smelled like cigarette smoke when I got home. In addition, my room supposedly was cleaned right before I got there, but it definitely didn't smell cleaned or sanitized. Also, there was garbage under the bed and brown handprints on two of the door frames. I booked a room for two adults and two children with two beds and recliner. Only one set of covers was provided. I requested two extra blankets so my children could each have a blanket. I was told I could only have one. This was by far my worst experience and I hope it's not the new norm.

Do not stay here. The rooms are dirty and not kept up. Broken fixtures in the rooms with holes in the walls. I didn't even want to step into the tub because it was so dirty and moldy. The rooms reeked of cigarettes so much so that I kept waking up with my nose burning. The bed was comfortable, but not worth everything else you have to deal with. It used to be a nice place to stay, but not anymore.
I had ups and downs at this establishment. The service I received checking in and out was outstanding. Dealing with an issue at the front desk with the day manager went very good. The house keeping was great. Unfortunately trying to get towels from the front desk was a real pain. The sign in the bathroom clearly states bring them down to get new ones. Well every clerk during the day had there own method either you were suppose to bring them down or leave them at your door. They made promises to bring you towels but they wouldn't. They made you feel very uncomfortable while asking for a set of towels. I shower every day I don't use the same towel twice at my house. I sure am not going use your towel twice when I'm spending on average 100.00 a night. I don't know what your issues were but you need to fix it. I probably wont be back.
I stay here every vacation i take to Hattiesburg the beds are big and cozy the room was clean and spacious and i had excellent service and they have great staff. Good job for having a nice hotel Candlewood suites. Keep it up and
The best I can say is the staff was really nice. The place was old and dirty. There were stains and cobwebs and the grout was dirty. The wall lamp didn't even have a shade...just a bare bulb. I will never stay there again.
