Simply the best Sugar Shack in Quebec. Simple and fast delivery in this covid lockdown time. Thanks for the great services.

I have been going to this Sugar Shack on a yearly basis and this year (2013) will be my third time in a month and a half. The service is excellent, the food is great, it's also considered a \5 star\ sugar shack as they do not serve the \tire\ on ice, so it's \healthier\. Service is at the tables, no buffet here. It's all you can eat so you can ask as much of you want of pretty much everything. Everything is home-made, the eggs they take is from their own chickens. They also have their alcohol permit, so you can buy beer and wine if you like. The only thing I could say not very positive about the place is the Decor. While homey, the chairs are chairs I used to sit in when I was in elementary school. Small plastic chairs. There's a few paintings here and there by family artists, but over all, if there's one thing I would change in this Sugar Shack is the Decor. It's not bad in any ways, simply lacks a little bit of a special touch. It still remains my favorite Sugar Shack.
I went there for my friends wedding. Wow beautiful place to be to take vows. The food was delicious salt free. The punch they served mmm. Wow. Vodka brandy pineapple orange grapefruit juice in a fountain...perfectly combined.
Very disappointed. We've been 5 years in a row and this year was a terrible experience. Went with 6 adults and 3 children, cost me around 250. It all started when we asked for coffee and milk for our children, coffee was served without hesitation to the adults and the waiter said that the small children needed to walk up to the end of the room and serve themselves to the milk. Had to ask another waitress if she could bring us a liter of milk and she did. Thank you Sheryl. Next we had to go up and serve ourselves which was like being at any other brunch buffet which you can get at Vichy or something similar for around 10 per person. Going to a cabane a sucre, is supposed to be a family gathering place with full service. We hardly got to speak and enjoy our meal as some were eating others were fetching food leaving no time to mingle and socialize. Thirdly, I asked for a reservation for 1:30 or 2 pm they said fine. I specifically asked if we would be rushed out and would have time to enjoy our meal...well that was not the case. About an hour into our meal they asked if we would be having any more food so they could close up the buffet, then 2 minutes later, the sleigh ride driver comes in and asks if we were going to take the sleigh ride, we said yes. He says ok, there are 2 others waiting...so we felt rushed again...my father did not even have the time to finish up his plate or coffee and had to bring a few pieces out with him as he was still hungry. Used to be excellent, now I suggest you find another place or make sure when you reserve, you reserve a time as close to the beginning of the meal time as you can. Not to mention when we arrived, there was only about 15 customers and 10 staff, the could have served us a traditional cabane a sucre family feast.
Not your run of the mill sugar shack. Good menu, delicious food
