A fantastic place to visit. Walking round the cheese centre, you're in heaven ( if you like cheese ). Nice gift shop and a nice cafe. Would highly recommend a visit when times get better. I'm glad I've had the experience of this wonderful cheese company.

Our Sep 2020 that was a visit to the Calvert restaurant. Booking is absolutely essential as people were turning and have to be put on a reserve list or a time later in the day. Entrance is through the garden - cafe area and well signposted. **This is a very covid 19 safe restaurant** well done to whoever devised the safety plan. Hand sanitiser and distancing upon arrival is on the the start. There's around 2.5 - 3m between tables. Two tables are provided - one to dine at and the other is used to serve food from (you simply wait, then lean across and retrieve it). We opted for the specials board although it was a tough choice all-round. Starters, mains and deserts are comparable to city restaurants, but the quality and service is probably better. And let's not forget they are doing only half the covers! Face coverings are needed to visit the toilets (through the shop). We decided on the lamb special with dauphinoise potatoes, minted peas and shallots. 4 cheeses for desert (with all the trimmings). There's a good choice of wines and beers (no larger) at very reasonable prices. If this review is of use, give a thumbs up... Tony and Suzy

Very good, clean, safe and staff very helpful. Spent a lot on goodies but we do go 2 or 3 times a year. The cheese scones are to die for we even brought them home. We'll go back.

An interesting look into the history of cheese making and the industry around the area and those involved in it. Good Covid restrictions apart some unruly children running around. Expect long queues for the gift shop in busy periods due to restrictions but the staff were exemplary. Very tasty food in the cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs allowed in the cafe garden.

Amazing selection of goods, from cheese and preserves through beer and biscuits, to cuddly toys, though I didn't see any conveyor belts. Items are expensive, as always at these places, but great quality. Staff very pleasant.
