On a building site around the corner so go into the shop most days. Pasties are brilliant breakfast one is the best. The staff are lovely especially the woman who wears red lipstick, lovely personality and welcoming to all of us

Picked up a steak pasty form here. Flaky pastry option was delicious but a bad choice to eat in the car. Flakes everywhere! Will definitely visit again next time I'm in the area. If I had to pick a fault, it'd be that the filling was like lava. It was so hot!
As a Cornishman now living in Yorkshire, Philps is always the place I head for when I’m back. There are a few other nice pasty bakers around the county but Philps is definitely up there with the very best. Can’t bring myself to try anything other than steak quite yet but I’m advised every variation they create are absolutely ‘ansome. Staff are always proper nice too.
The best pasties in Cornwall I think. Can't go wrong. Just don't ask for a large, they never seem to have them even if you do get there at the start of lunchtime. Cook some more will you Philps.
First time in Cornwall, had to try the pasties out, and very impressed. Really filling and great value for money. Easy parking, queue highlighted how popular this venue is, and for good reason. Quick and efficient service, during the pandemic they made sure its a safe experience to buy some cracking food.
