Thomas Haynes is an amazing architect. Not only does he have a great sense of design and functionality, he also has the ability to translate his clients’ needs into a realistic and attainable plan. In our case, he designed a modern masterpiece in Bronxville. While keeping the outside in line with the neighborhood, the interior is ultra-modern and functional. He basically turned an old Tudor into a house of the 21st century. One thing is to be a great designer but he also completely owned the process with zoning board and building department. Both are notoriously hard to deal with and getting things like a variance approved can turn into long-winded nightmares. Thomas just made that process ultra-smooth, end to end. Last but not least, his cost is very reasonable, his work is worth every cent and then some. We are about to do a second project and will work with him again.

Thomas came highly recommended by our contractor and several friends who had previously worked with him. Thomas and his team worked efficiently on our plans. The space was well thought out and his knowledge and input throughout the process was helpful. We are very pleased with the way he designed our space and we are grateful for the extra care Thomas put in to make sure that we were satisfied with the outcome. I used Tom for my backyard project in 2017 and could not be any happier with the results. From start to finish, Tom's creativity, visualization and drawings were top notch. I continue to get amazing compliments on the design and was fortunate to find a great contractor to turn Tom's plan into a reality. I recently had to use Tom again on another small project and he was able to customize a solution to meet compliance standards and aid in the legalization process for my town. Tom is well respected with the town and for good reason, he is passionate about his field and knows the industry and building codes well. You will not regret using Tom as your architect.
I contacted Haynes Architecture after I lost my home in a devastating fire. After meeting with other architects who offered no vision, I was discouraged. However, at my first meeting with Tom, he was able to understand my vision and worked diligently to get plans submitted fast and according to my liking. He was a very fast worker and he took the time to go through and explain every step in the process of building my store.
