Do never consider having an account at Barclays. They are the worst bank ever ! Cannot access my account for 6 months, do not even know how much got in balance. They are working on this issue since JUNE !!!!! Can you believe 5 months and the issue is still on going ! When you go to the branch they clearly do not want to help or even to work ! they just focusing on their non proactivity which is OUTSTANDING ! 1 Star because we can't put 0 !

Although there is now only one counter and lots of machines, plenty of staff are around to assist, even with major transactions at very short notice and they are always courteous and helpful. The first time I visited this branch, I discovered a very serious mistake at Barclays head office level and nearly fainted when I printed off my statement. The manager called my partner and me straight into his office and spent the next half hour going through our account history, talking to head office and retrieving the 'missing' funds to our huge relief.
Unacceptable customer service! I walked in and I was welcomed by a young Asian lady. I asked her about apprenticeship in Barclays. I explained that I already went through the online process, I applied for the closest vacancies but was emailed that there aren't any near me. Instead of responding with a resolution or consulting with someone if she didn't know about apprenticeship, she simply said \Go on the Barclays website!\ I tried to explain myself again but she said \I don't know what you mean!\ It was awkward, clearly she didn't want to communicate. All I wanted it was some help. I was strongly considering becoming an apprentice there but I am very disappointed with the staff; it hasn't been the 1st time as I am a customer there too! For such a well known bank I would have expected high level customer service. Please do train your staff better before letting them talk to customers because they are the ones representing Barclays! I will be awaiting customer service to come back to me and then I will update and post once they have.
