I ordered using the Home From Home website. Whenever buying a second hand product there are always concerns, especially when you have seen only pictures, but the chair arrived in the condition promised. The Home from Home team communicated with me regularly and sent a text to confirm the date and time slot of my delivery. Delivery is expensive but when you consider the service and the fact it is an independent company which has one warehouse this is understandable. The delivery was efficient and also included making sure the armchair electric recliner worked as expected and that my mum was comfortable operating the chair. This personal touch was a great conclusion to an overall great service.

Excellent transaction. I was after a kingsize bed base with drawers, Home from Home had just what I wanted. Would buy from them again in the future. Thankyou Carol.

All done over the phone. Carol extremely helpful and didn't seem to mind me phoning to ask questions time and time again!! Really happy with my purchase. What a beautiful piece of furniture for an absolute bargain price.

Appalled. Home from Home had agreed a price to buy furniture from my elderly relatives and ended up taking it without payment and selling in their shop for over 100 a day later. They were collecting on the same day my grandparents were moving, which they were aware of. They had quoted a price from a photo of the table/chairs. When the two men got there to collect they said that it was not in the condition they thought it would be so couldn’t offer any money for it. Obviously this distressed my grand parents who had to move the furniture that day, as the removal company had already been and it was their last full day in the house. The men offered to ‘dispose of the furniture’ for them as a ‘gesture of good will’. After seeing my grandparents and being told this I popped into Home from Home as sounded suspicious. Guess what I found? The furniture for sale in the front of the store for 130. I’m gobsmacked! I would of happily taken the furniture to the charity shop myself had I known they were not being offered any money for it. When I approached the lady in the shop, she was defensive and would not discuss it with me. She ended the conversation by saying ‘they needed to recoup money back from the time they had wasted at my grandparents house’. She walked away and refused to discuss it with me or come to any form of resolution. I wanted to share my experience so this does not happen to anyone else’s elderly relatives. Thanks, Dom
