We go to the Fresh Fish Shop to pick up sashimi quality fish (Salmon, Tuna) every week and I must say the quality is out of this world. I go to Japan every year and even in a country where they live to eat raw fish, this little fish monger in Hawards Heath has fresher and better quality fish than anywhere I have been in Japan. Friendly staff with high quality service and very high quality fish. Highly recommended.

I'm new to the area and was looking for quality market seafood. After many online searches I came across the Fresh Fish Shop and I figured I'd give it a shot. I paid them a visit a few days ago with the idea of purchasing seafood for some sushi dishes. I had asked the gentleman behind the counter if they offered a sushi box deal. Unfortunately that deal was not available. However they did have a four for 12 deal. He suggested that with four pieces of salmon, so I got it. I also inquired about steamer clams (soft shell clams). He didn't seem to sure of what those were, but he showed me the clams that they did have, which weren't the same. I mentioned to him that I am from Boston, Massachusetts and we use steamers for fried clams or clambakes. Perhaps maybe it's just the area we are in. (My partner later on did a search on line and found out that steamer clams were once a native to England, but now are rare and hard to find.) He was very friendly and helpful. I carried on with my purchase and also noticed some oysters. He had a deal on oysters that day. I purchased 12 oysters for 10, which is a good deal. I was also impressed that they had sushi rice, nori, and all fixtures for sushi making and all at a very nice price as well. My partner and I ended up having fried oysters and nigirizushi (nigiri sushi). The salmon just melts in your mouth!! It was a pleasant experience and will buy from again.
