Good for kids
Hard castle crag was an ace day out. A nice steady walk down the trail down to the beautiful old mill and cafe, walking thru beautiful feilds of blue bells and plenty of tree species for the botanists in all of us. Nice picnic area a short walk from the cafe and ice cream parlour. River crossing stones for brave of heart and lots of cool shallows for the dogs to paddle in. There are 4 trails to enjoy all colour coded and sign posted if like me your cartography skills a slightly lacking. The crag is a fun climb to so you can enjoy the picturesque valley views. The dog thoroughly enjoyed his adventure too. Not to far away you have the moors to explore and reservoirs to enjoy. Another great national trust day out

Beautiful scenery and well kept space, only issue is 5 for parking all day
Park up and you is straight into a good walk down into the valley.
Great views of Gragg vale from the car park. From the car park there is a steep but maintained path down to Gibson mill good ti look around if open there is a cafe serving drinks and food, there are some interesting composting toilets. There are walks to the mill pond and up to the greggs and further if you want.
Recently tarted up. Good place to park for Hardcastle Crags and Gibson's Mill. Free for NT members
Very good car park spacious and clean a very good alternative to the other national trust car park on the edge of Hebden Bridge.
Recently refurbished and made bigger.
The car park has a great gravel Base and tree poll dividers! My favourite design! None of the multistorey blandness and small enough to not loose your car in. Amazing!
