I visited this church on a recent Sunday. It was disappointing to see that most of the small congregation are mostly elderly. The welcome was warm. The service needs to be updated to the 21st century to encourage younger people & families.
It's not a museum. It is a working Baptist church that let's people have events there! Pews - but quite comfy. Good acoustics. Only one of each toilet plus one disabled. Quite warm.
Lovely 19th century chapel regulary hosts great live music and a variety of community events
Lunchtime Live (once a month on a Saturday) is a must - showcases local talent and is a lovely community venue.
Lovely interior - was with a visiting choir
Last Methodist chapel in the area, beautifulbuilding, fabulous archives of local lives from times past
Visited to see a music and performing arts event. Very well restored building with good facilities.
