Took car in for a fuel leak repair. Asked them to notify me of cost and get authorisation to carry on. Received phone call to say they had done a temporary repair and fixed the leak. It hadn't taken them long and would be 80. I told them I had said not to do any work before getting the go ahead from me. I was told that he had made the matter worse while trying to diagnose the fault, despite the leak being very obvious. He told me that it was the pump that was at fault and to do the job properly would cost more than the car's value. As a result of their repair he told me not to change the fuel filter as the car would not prime the filter. He told me he had to do some work to diagnose but when he worsened the problem he used a bit of pipe to bypass the pump. He told me it was going to cost nearly 80 to diagnose the problem anyway. Nearly 80 to just look and diagnose. If that isn't a rip off I don't know what is. And worsen the problem on top. Won't be going there again.

Gave in a motorcycle silencer to have an adaptor welded to the inlet after the rivets which were holding it expanded after a long 4 hour trip. Needed it as an emergency so didn't have much choice but to give it in, but after getting it back the half melted rivets hadn't even been removed from the holes (and those were still open causing heavy exhaust leaks). 4 stitch welds were made in total which cost me 25!!! The gentleman on the desk didn't even seem to know how much to charge me for it, and with the advice of a technician that walked into the reception it was "just a welding gas charge". 25 is enough to refill at least half a cylinder! RIP OFF
