As you can see from the pictures there is clear staining on the dishes. In addition things didn't seem to be washed properly. The staff were rude except one girl who was always smiling and was very nice. The food was slightly over mediocre and the overall atmosphere was dull. The music selection was great. Reply : the dishes may have been clean but they looked extremely off putting as the staining makes them look dirty. This in turn makes the food appear off putting and overall unappetising. The staff should have checked for things like this (especially with the fear of viruses going around). This can be avoided just by checking the dishes to maintain a standard that you definitely did not meet during my meal. Also passive responses on Google are no way to improve your restaurant.

Very slow service. Not just due to Covid19 limitations on people allowed to be served one at a time. They were slow we'll. Before this. Coffee is OK, but better can be found in Hebden due to the coffee shop numbers. That being said, they are still open, which they should be credited for

3 people were working when we went in. 1 girl was lovely and very polite but the other younger 2 were quite rude and didn’t even smile at us. When we asked them if we could sit in the male only shrugged at us and ignored our question. Plates and cups weren’t completely clean with 2 bowls having stains on them and food presentation was a bit off putting. Food was average, music selection was good and pricing was adequate. When someone left they cleaned the table very quickly which was good and the free WiFi worked well.

The food and tea was lovely and staff were friendly and polite but the experience was spoiled by a member of staff sweeping the wooden stairs directly at the side of our table whilst we were eating. Shame. Edited to correct spelling mistake and reply to owners comment. Thank you for your reply. I'm well aware of the result of sweeping a surface. I'm always grateful to see clean premises but I would have thought creating airborne foreign bodies, feet from open food would be a basic no no in a good business. I did not mention it to the member of staff as I wouldn't want to interfere with her training as I thought this would have been one of the first things that would have been explained to her. Thank you for your reply.

Went later on in the day on a Sunday, around 4pm. Had cake, coffee and milkshakes. I really liked the chocolate milkshake and my friend enjoyed the scone with jam and cream (2.80). Only seemed to have one toilet for both upstairs and downstairs. Staff pleasant enough
