There is no laser cutting, nor are there any machine bending tools. I build everything, piece by piece, like a puzzle. Each finished product is created through a meticulous series of welding, wood working, and creative problem-solving. I speak more eloquently through my artwork than through words. I pour myself into the things I create. I do not view myself as special, or gifted. I do, however, take great pride in the work that I produce. Once I have an idea of how an end-result needs to look, I chase this until I feel I’ve matched or exceeded the original concept. If I have any special skills, I’d say that patience and persistence are among the most unique of them. Over the years, the carpentry skills that I’ve acquired have helped me cultivate the “structural art & décor” expertise that has become the heart of what Black Lab Steel offers.
