InMotion is located in Helmond, Netherlands on Kastmolen 24. InMotion is rated 5 out of 5 in the category health consultant in Netherlands. InMotion is a team consisting of more than 50 students of different disciplines from the Eindhoven University of Technology and Fontys. InMotion’s goal is to solve the single problem that still keeps people from using an electric vehicle: charging times. InMotion aims to reduce charging times to roughly the same amount of time it takes to fill up a petrol car. We will showcase the potential of fast charging by competing in the Garage 56 class during the 24h of Le Mans with a fully electric endurance race car. By trying to do so, the team forces itself to develop battery technology that will push the automotive industry. Our story begins in 2009 with the Ignition, a green race car that runs on bio-ethanol. Three students from Hogeschool Utrecht decided to compete in the Formula Student competition (a race similar to Formula 1, but only for students) and built the Ignition during their minor and graduation. The Ignition represented cheap and eco-friendly racing. Then the second car was built: the Fusion. This fully electric racer is meant to break lap records, and it did just that! The Fusion is the fastest electric formula race car in the world. It has already broken three electric lap records: on Circuit Zandvoort, Circuit Zolder and TT Assen Circuit. Finally, the Vision. This is our future Le Mans participant for 2023! Contrarily to the Ignition and the Fusion, this car is built for endurance. The Vision will be unique in the sense it will be the first fully electric race car ever competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In the Garage 56 class, our innovative technologies can be applied to make the race car as fast and sustainable as possible! The key difference between the first two racers and the Vision is the focus on fast charging. Developing this technology lies at the heart of the project and the team believes that this is the future for the automotive industry.
